5 Tips for New Avon Representatives
Hey there! I know that anytime you start a new adventure, seeking and collecting information can sometimes be more overwhelming than helpful! I am creating this post to quickly share my top 5 tips for new Avon representatives. This is a basic overview of how I feel you can get your business off to a successful start.
1. Share, share, share! Tell everyone about your new business. Share your brochures with all of your family and friends...share your excitement on social media...talk to everyone about it! The Daily Care Collection flyer is an awesome tool to share..this is a special offer that can only be ordered by new representatives. It is a fantastic deal, too!
2. Follow up. Unfortunately, sharing your brochure and e-store URL is rarely enough. Keep a pen and paper nearby, and write down the name and contact information of each person you share a brochure with. A few days later, contact the person, ask if they have had the opportunity to look through the brochure, and what you can get for them. I especially love text, email, or Facebook messenger for this purpose...when the customer reads your message, it will often remind them to look through their book and send in an order.
3. Take advantage of free training opportunities. Avon offers free courses on their website. Many successful Avon Leaders offer free Facebook groups, videos, and calls to help you. Glean all of the information that you can, and tailor bits of it to fit your personality, lifestyle, and business goals. Connect with your upline (or with me, if you aren't connected with them..I'll help guide you) or find a mentor. Don't feel like you are restricted to running your business exactly the way another representative or your upline Leader does...use these ideas to shape your business to fit you!
4.Take advantage of all earnings opportunities. Avon offers representatives the ability to earn income in 3 ways: 1) from face to face sales; 2) through online sales; and 3) through Leadership (building a team of representatives that you will mentor). If you aren't attempting to use all of these avenues, you are leaving money on the table! I encourage you to give them all a try.
5. Find a Mentor. It is important to find another Avon leader that you can connect with, ask questions, and learn from. Hopefully that person will be your Upline leader (who helped you sign up), but for many reasons this isn't always the case. If you cannot connect with your assigned Mentor, seek out one on your own. Follow successful Avon representatives on social media and attend their trainings...learn from them! Having trouble finding a Mentor? Let me know and I'll try to help!
These are 5 tips that I find very helpful for both new and seasoned Avon representatives. Feel free to share with other Avon representatives who might enjoy reading or with your own Avon team.
